Derrell James Ethington, 69, of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at home.
He was born Oct. 4, 1955, in Bartow, Florida, to the late Albert Myral Ethington and Shirley Ann (Burney) Lambert.
Derrell worked at Mid States Wire for 20 years, was a truck driver for 15 years, and was a jack of all trades. He loved the outdoors and nature, loved trips to the woods, deer hunting and fishing, gardening, driving his tractor, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
On Oct. 3, 1983, he married the love of his life, Connie Lynn (Terry) Ethington, she survives. He is also survived by his two children, Joshua Ethington of Indianapolis and Kendell (Carrie) Ethington of Bloomingdale; four grandchildren, Matthew, Calista, James and Jarod; three brothers, Danny (Susan) Ethington of Florida, Donnie (Vangi) Ethington of Alabama and Denny Ethington of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Denise Ethington.
