HILLSBORO — Myers Dinner Theatre presents the classic thriller, “Dial M For Murder” by Frederick Knott to the stage. This murder mystery play, directed by Charles Burr, runs from today through Nov. 2.
In “Dial M For Murder,” Tony Wendice has married his wife, Margot, for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails a scoundrel he used to know into strangling her for a fee of one thousand pounds, and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself.
Unfortunately for Tony, with a surprise twist of events, he must concoct a new plan to rid him of his wife. Luckily, the police inspector from Scotland Yard and a young man who is in love with the wife discover the truth, and in a scene of almost unbearable suspense they must attempt to trap the husband into revealing his guilt.
Featured in this production are MDT alumni Malcom Claeys (as Captain Lesgate), Caleb DeWitt (as Max Halliday), Don Hart (as Inspector Hubbard) and Lillian North (as Margot Wendice). New to the Myers’ stage is Patrick Vaughn (as Tony Wendice). Co-owner and Executive Producer of Myers Dinner Theatre, Mark McGrady, also makes a special cameo in this production.
With all of the drama and intrigue of the classic Alfred Hitchcock film, “Dial M For Murder” will keep audiences in suspense through the final thrilling conclusion.
“Dial M For Murder” will feature a food menu combining MDT favorites as well as new items themed to the production. Selections will include: meatloaf, turkey breast and gravy, roast pork and applesauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, tomato and zucchini casserole and buttered corn; for dessert, English rice pudding and brownies.
During the run of “Dial M For Murder,” a concert will be presented by local favorite, The Logan Kirby Band on Oct. 22. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. with show at 8 p.m.
Wednesday matinee seating for meals is at 11:30 a.m. with curtain at 1:30 p.m. Friday evening performances will have seating for meals at 6 p.m. with curtain at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday matinees will have seating for meals at noon and curtain at 2 p.m. A special additional performance will be offered on Oct. 26 with meal at 6:30 p.m. and curtain at 8 p.m.

Regular theater prices are $59.54 for dinner and show, $47.50 for students (ages 4-18), and show-only for $39.50. Prices do not include taxes, handling fees or gratuity for waitstaff. Season tickets, group pricing and bus parking are also available.
