Dorothy “Dot” E. Holt, formerly of Linden, passed away peacefully on Sept. 18, 2024, at Glenburn Home in Linton, Indiana. She was 86.
She was born May 18, 1938 at Linden, to Harold and Gladys Killian Lyon. Dot retired from the Linden Food Plaza, she was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Dot loved to build Legos. On Nov. 2, 1957, Dot married Ernest Holt. He preceded her in death May 15, 2001.
Surviving family includes: son John Holt (Debra); daughters, Jenny Holt (Larry), Tina Pattengale (Marshall Blanchard) and Lisha Addler; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Roberta Carter; two grandsons, Joshua Kaine Thomas and Daniel Richard Davis II; and brother Allen Lyon.
Visitation for Dorothy Holt will be at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Ave., Crawfordsville, on Friday, Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Service will follow at 1 p.m. with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
