Duane Lee Bryant, 69, of Crawfordsville went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Nov.26, 2024.
He was born in Crawfordsville on March 9, 1955, to the late Elvin and Dorothy (Douglas) Bryant.
Duane graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1973 and attended bible college at AFCM. He was a pastor for over 40 years and was a patriot and impactful public figure. He has touched many lives leading thousands to salvation through his testimony in Jesus Christ. He cherished the relationships made and put his foundation in the Word of God and Fellowship.
Duane will be remembered for his sense of humor, contagious smile and love for family. He enjoyed listening to music, making music and going to concerts. He was a carpenter and skilled at refurbishing anything. He had an avid love for nature and his motorcycle; pair the two together, he was in his natural realm. His legacy and spirit will live on in the hearts of those he knew and loved him. He had a caring heart beyond measure.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Morehouse of Crawfordsville; daughter Krishna (Brad) Marcum of Lebanon; step-daughter Staci (Rob) Smith of Waveland; step-son Dennis (Trisha) Barker Jr. of Mooresville; three grandchildren, Carter, Ashley and Kyle Marcum; and many step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Patricia Simpson, Lola “Deanie” Brady and Phyllis Hurst Paxton; brother Charles Wilson; and step-brother Elvin “Sonny” Bryant Jr.
Cremation was chosen with a visitation at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m., with Pastor Shawn Tully and Brad Marcum officiating.
