Dylan Tavis May was born Sept. 21, 1983, on Moon Mountain Christmas Tree Farm in Sonoma, California. He died peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2022, in Crawfordsville, after a one-year battle with bone cancer.

He was strong and courageous … a real superhero. He had already survived a brain stem tumor in 1993.

He loved music and doing karaoke. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Dylan had a great sense of humor. He also lived in Mt. Kisco, New York, Cortez, Colorado, Chino Valley, Arizona and Prescott Valley, Arizona. Recently, he attended and was supported by the congregation at Christ Lutheran Church in Crawfordsville.

He is survived by father Douglas May and Linda Talley-Branch of Dolores, Colorado; mother Karen Westbrook and step-father Shannon Westbrook of Crawfordsville; his brother and sister, Alec and Alyssa May of Prescott Valley, Arizona; step-sister Elsie Hinote and her husband, Aden Hinote, of Tilton, Illinois; niece Jaylyn May and nephew, Skylar Ross; aunts and uncles, Griff and Yoongsoon Hughes, Greg and Noreen Hughes, Robert and Mildred Westbrook; and cousins, David, Steven, Geoffrey and Christina Hughes, Anthony and Kasandra Poshepny, Logan and J. D. Westbrook.

Cremation arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
