The Montgomery County Early Childhood Coalition has partnered with the Crawfordsville Parks & Rec Department to launch its first-ever, full-day, full-summer camp. Camp Milligan officially opens May 31, and will serve a maximum of 30 children, ages 5-12 in its pilot year. Camp is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and will operate for a full nine weeks, with the final day on July 29.

Camp programming includes a daily schedule of fun activities, outside exploration, swimming, weekly special guests and field trips each Friday.

Camp Milligan registration opened Monday, both online and in-person through the Crawfordsville Parks & Rec Department. There is a $50 registration fee and the cost is $120/week, which includes lunch and snacks. If you would like to support the camp program, view its Amazon wish list at https://a.co/9QWk3rg.

Rainbows & Rhymes, a full day, year-round program offering preschool in the mornings and child care in the afternoons, is open from 6:45 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. This summer, the Level 2 Paths to Quality program is adding a summer program called Fun in the Summer Sun where children (6-10 year olds) can learn about new places as they go on exciting adventures.

Fun in the Summer Sun will be an opportunity for children to learn about fun topics such as animals, ocean/aquatic, camping, gardening and cooking, as well as local community excursions to the library, Carnegie Museum, fire station and other local venues.

The cost is $135/week and includes lunch and all snacks. To register for Fun in the Summer Sun or to learn more about the preschool program, call 765-362-4817.

The Boys & Girls Club’s Summer Program is open to students entering an Early Learning Academy in the fall, up to age 18. It starts June 1 and is open 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The program includes trips to the park pool and other fun field trips. For non-club members, there is a $30 registration fee and the cost is $80/week, which includes breakfast, lunch and a snack.
