Edna Krukewitt of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Wellbrooke. She was 99.

Mrs. Krukewitt was a member of the First Christian Church in Crawfordsville. She liked music, especially hymns and taught herself to play them on piano. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, embroidery, sewing, cooking and canning. Most of all, she loved her family, her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She worked 27 years at RR Donnelley.

Born Feb. 22, 1922, in Parke County, she was the daughter of Willie Moore and Esther Hood Moore. She attended school at Waveland, Youngs Chapel and graduated from Darlington in 1940. She married John Krukewitt on March 3, 1968, at Wolcott. He passed away Nov. 9, 2005.

Surviving family includes: brother Frank (Lucy) Moore, sister-in-law Nora Moore; brother-in-law Barton Paddack; two nieces, Becky (Ernie) O’Hair and Brenda (the late Dave) Cox; nephew Brad (Peg) Paddack; great-nephews, Chad (Kelly) Rosen, Chris (Jamie) Rosen, Brian (Christine) Cox and Eric (C.J.) O’Hair; and great-nieces, Sara (Brian) Strickland, Erica Menke, Keisha (Levi) Hutson and Kenzie (Rob) Blackburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; brother James Clinton Moore; sisters, Wilma Paddack and Vera Moore; and niece Vicki Rosen.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3 at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Ave. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery North, led by Pastor Darla Goodrich.
