Eddie Binch, 64, of New Ross, fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, Oct. 16 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born Aug. 9, 1956, at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Edward and Dorothy Binch. He grew up in Medford Lakes, New Jersey.

Eddie lived the Christadelphian faith, sharing that faith while serving as a missionary across the United States and in Central and South America.  He taught Spanish at Frankfort High School for 25 years, and taught at the International School of San Salvador, El Salvador, for over 10 years.

He married Beth Brokaw on July 27, 1984 at Wabash College Chapel in Crawfordsville. Together with Beth and their children, Eddie spent many years living, working and preaching in El Salvador. His years at home in New Ross were filled with Bible study, birdwatching, photography, traveling, stamp and coin collecting, growing trees, participating in church and community activities, and spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren. Eddie especially enjoyed talking to people and getting to know them.

Eddie’s family, who miss him dearly, includes his wife, Beth, and their sons, Isaac (Michelle) Binch, Josiah (Mandi) Binch and Ethan Binch; their daughters, Marjorie (Andrew) Styles and Silvia (Jon) Stumpf; his sister, Kathy (Frank) Roesch; their five grandchildren, Summer and Sean Binch, Leah, Ruth and Joseph Styles; and his in-laws, Arvin and Mary Brokaw.

A private service was held at Eddie and Beth’s home in New Ross on Sunday, Oct. 18, with the eulogy given by Eddie’s best friend and brother in the Lord, Bill Link. Friends and loved ones from around the world joined to honor Eddie via Zoom. He was laid to rest at the New Ross Cemetery, where he awaits the resurrection at his Lord’s return.
