Elizabeth “Beth” Ann (Whalen) Tharp, 45, of Crawfordsville passed away peacefully at The Gathering Together Hospice in Plainfield.

She was born Dec. 27, 1975, at Crawfordsville, to Jerry and Sue (Robinson) Whalen.

Beth graduated from Crawfordsville High School and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting fromthe University of Evansville. She married the love of her life, Bradley Duane Tharp II on Aug. 28, 2004. She worked as a statutory analyst for Humana and a financial analyst for IU Health. She was a member of Crawfordsville Christ’s United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, reading and attending her kids sports and school activities.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Brad Tharp II; her children, Carter Alexander Tharp and Madison Elizabeth Tharp; two brothers, Scott (Carrie) Whalen and Mark (Aletia) Whalen; her parents, Jerry and Sue Whalen; sister-in-law Brenda (Jeff) Tharp-Lowell; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard M. and Mary Elizabeth (Chaffee) Robinson, Robert W. andMargaret A. (Sherrill) Whalen; and aunt S. Lynn Robinson-Stickels.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, with Pastor Chris Renick officiating. The service will be live-streamed and recorded which can be viewed on her obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. Burial will follow at New Richmond Cemetery.
