Emma Crouch of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday night, Dec. 1. 2019, at home. She was 69.

Emma volunteered for the food pantry at Grace & Mercy and worked very hard supporting that effort. She was a wonderful cook and made great biscuits and gravy. She also loved to play Bingo. In addition to the church, she was a member of the Moose Lodge. For the past 20 years, she did home health care. She was the most loving giving person, in many ways, throughout her life.

Born April 23, 1950, at Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Cecil “Sye” Gill and Betty Darlene Waldon Gill McClure. She married David Crouch on Nov. 15, 1986, at Crawfordsville. He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband David Crouch; son Frankie Lee (Stephanie) Hart; three daughters, Evelyn Hart (Tom Livengood), Lynn Smith and SherryLynn Sexton (Lafe Wiatt); brothers, Cecil Gill, Sye (Judy) Gill, Joe (Jan) Gill, James Edwards and Robin (Tina) Edwards; sisters, Janice Reyes, Patty Stearman, Dixie (Ricardo) Rosales, Jessica Edwards and Helen Sanders; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Kim Hall and son-in-law Danny Smith.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Services will begin at 2 p.m., led by Pastor Nathan Miller, with Sye Andrew Gill assisting. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.

Contributions in memory of Emma Crouch may be made to the Food Pantry at Grace & Mercy, P.O. Box 189, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
