Ethel Marie (Selby) Hudson, 102, of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at Whitlock Place.
She was born July 24, 1922, at Alamo, to the late Iral Scott and Ida (Bowerman) Selby.
Ethel graduated from Alamo High School, Class of 1940. She married Roscoe Hudson on Nov. 26, 1955. He preceded her in death Oct. 27, 1980. Ethel worked for various local businesses throughout Crawfordsville including Milligan’s Flowers, BMV and the courthouse. She was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. After marrying Roscoe, they had a Pine Tree Farm. Ethel enjoyed collecting dishes and spending time with her brothers, nieces, and nephews.
Ethel is survived by her brother, Kenneth Selby; nieces and nephews, Ed (Irene) Selby, Jerry (Diane) Selby, Marsha (Bob) Mieure and Stephen (Karen) Selby; step-son, Cyler (Mary) Hudson; and many step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Eston Selby; and step-children, Madge, Jack, Rosemary, Mack, Eugene, Ruhama Jane, Paul and Phyllis.
Cremation was chosen with a private family gathering at a later date. Sanders Funeral Care Crawfordsville is entrusted with care.
