Faith in God’s help

Are you experiencing problems and burdens that you feel completely powerless to handle by yourself? Perhaps you are facing health problems, difficulties at work, family problems or financial challenges that make you feel absolutely helpless. You even question why God is allowing this. Life is tough at times, and the burdens it places on you can be hard to bear. But you do not need to carry them alone.

I imagine the children of Israel felt the same way as they stood looking at the Red Sea and the Egyptian army advancing behind them. However, the Lord had not abandoned them, but was show  them a great lesson in faith and waiting upon Him. I confess this is hard to do sometimes. This is a faith they will need repeatedly as they walk with God into the promise land. Moses spoke to the people and said, “… Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, ye shall see no more forever. The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13-14).

And, as they stood and watched, God divided the mighty waters of the Red Sea and allowed the children of Israel to walk over on dry ground (Exodus 14:21-22).

Friends, this encourages me. We do not have to feel powerless, or afraid, the Lord is with us, “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, fear not, I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13). He will open the way before you with His loving, all-powerful hand. He allows such circumstances to enter our lives that He may demonstrate His power and that we can trust Him. So let me encourage you not to be afraid. Follow his directions, obey His word and trust Him to see you through in victory.

Tell the Lord you are overburdened with these difficulties, but that you will trust Him. Thank Him for making a way and praise Him for His loving grace and power..
