First Merchants awards grant to MCCF


First Merchants Charitable Foundation Inc. recently awarded its annual grants to local nonprofit organizations. Joe Buser and Jack Wyatt represent Montgomery County as members of the foundation’s board of directors.

A $3,650 grant was presented to the Montgomery County Community Foundation for the First Merchants Charitable Foundation Fund. Since its establishment in 2002, the endowment has grown in value to nearly $395,000, with its earnings returned to the community in the form of MCCF grants. To date, more than $110,400 has been granted from this fund to a variety of nonprofit organizations serving Montgomery County.

In addition to MCCF, additional grants were awarded to the General Lew Wallace Study and Museum, Vanity Theater and FISH Ministries.
