The Flower Lovers Club held the August meeting at St. John Church. President Karen Cook opened the meeting with a prayer. Roll call was answered by telling my favorite vacation spot.

Hostesses for August were Priscilla Zachary, Lana Pewsslor, Deb Barowsky, Marty Heinold and Denise Ducharme. Members were given envelopes to collect seeds to be exchanged in November.

Mary Lou Dawald and Linda Cherry gave a program on the planting seeds of hope garden at Christ Lutheran Church. They shared their learning and growing experiences. This is the third year for the garden. Last year they donated 1,000 pounds of produce. Many church members donated their time and work to the garden. The Garden Walk will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25, 2023. Members signed up for various committees. There will also be a plant sale included at the walk.

Ten members were recognized for having August birthdays.

The Flower Show held in July had very low participation. Zachary made a motion to have the show every other year and let the public bring flowers.

Cook gave instructions for hostesses duties on field trips. Sign-up sheets for the September and October meetings

were passed around. The September meeting will be Sept. 6 at Irving Garden in Columbus. The October meeting will be Oct. 5 at The Farm at Prophetstown at Battleground.
