All four local high school football teams will enter Friday night trying to stop losing streaks.
For North Montgomery, the Chargers will look to get back on track after a 39-36 turbulent loss to Tri-West, while Southmont is looking to halt a two-game skid, and Crawfordsville and Fountain Central are looking for their first win in eight attempts this season.
North (3-4, 2-3) at Frankfort (0-7, 0-5)
On paper the Chargers look to be the favorite against the Hot Dogs, who are searching for their first win since 2017, and their first over North Montgomery since 2009.
Keys To The Game
North Montgomery will be able to go back to the basics, and not have to throw the ball 55 times in order to the pull out the win. Do the simple things right and the Chargers will even their record at 4-4.
Players To Watch
North Montgomery’s Jaron Bradford (1,181 yards passing and 17 TD’s), Zach Waldon (400+ rushing yards), and Frankforts’ versatile Jade Ayers.
Coaches Comments
“Our focus has to be on us and are we improving,” Charger’s coach Josh Thompson said. “We can’t sit back and relax at all. I know Frankfort has struggled this year, but you always want to come out and play your best football.”
South (3-4, 2-3) at Lebanon (3-4, 3-2)
Southmont has struggled offensively in the last two weeks, being outscored 98-13 by Danville and Western Boone. The Mounties enter Friday looking for their third straight win over the Tigers, and their sixth road win in the series in 17 attempts.
Keys To The Game
Southmont will face a tough task defensively on Friday night, but if they can force Lebanon to run the ball, and in turn have success running the ball themselves, the Mounties can come home with a win.

CHS (0-7, 0-5) at Tri-West (5-2, 4-1)
Crawfordsville is still looking for their first win of the season, and Friday night their first win over the Bruins since 2008, and their first win in Lizton since 2007.
Keys To The Game
Crawfordsville will need to play nearly a perfect game on Friday to pull out the win. The key will be to score first, and fluster the Tri-West defense throughout the game.

NV (6-1, 5-0) at FC (0-7, -5)
Fountain Central remains winless on the season, and faces their stiffest competition of the season on Friday night when the defending Class A State Runner-Up North Vermillion Falcons pay a visit to Veedersburg. Last season the Falcons earned a hard-fought 35-28 win in Cayuga.
Keys To The Game
The key for a Fountain Central victory continues to remain the same, the Mustangs must get off to a fast start offensively and find consistency if they want to pull out the upset win on Friday.
