G. “Jane” Jeffries, 88, of Rockville passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2020, at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.
Born April 10, 1932, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Asbury Jewl Clark and Bertha Lennis Galbreath Clark. She married Robert M. Jeffries on May 6, 1950. He died Dec. 28, 2012. They were married for 62 years.
Jane graduated from Roachdale High School in 1950. She was baptized at the Roachdale Christian Church, was a member of the Rockville Christian Church and previously a member of the Covered Bridge Art Association.
She is survived by three daughters, Marianna Martin of Sunrise, Florida, and Dena Foxworthy (Ron Cope) and Susan Millikan, both of Rockville; five grandchildren, Allen Martin of Florida, Angie Martin of New Ross, Amanda Foxworthy-Chapman (Patrick) of Rockville, Eric Foxworthy (Stephanie) of Rockville and Tara Picket (Andrew) of Attica; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and brother Howard Franklin Clark of Sun Lakes, Arizona.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Roseanne Riggle and Lucille Merle Keck.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 E. High St., Rockville, with the Rev. Tom Jeffries officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service Friday. Cremation has been chosen.
