Gale K. Rhoads, 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021. He was born Dec. 4, 1960, to J. Donald and Kathryn (Mercer) Rhoads in Crawfordsville.

Gale attended Southmont High School, class of 1979, and went on to Purdue University, where he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, graduating in 1983. Immediately following graduation his entire career has been within the beef industry starting with IBP/Tyson and most recently working for Certified Angus Beef for the past 18 years.

Gale married Kathi (Keller) Rhoads in 1983. They have two children. Their oldest, Kevin and his wife Baleigh (Adams) and their two children; Kensingten (7) and Corbin (4). Their daughter Kaci and her husband Chris Novak and their two daughters; Charli (6) and Brodi (6 months). Also surviving Gale are three brothers and four sisters-in-law; Shelley (McClellan) Rhoads, David and Sheila (Harris) Rhoads, Dan and Karen (Wulf) Rhoads, Keith and Melinda (Dove) Rhoads, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Susan (Duncan) Keller, his wife’s parents; Jim and Marilyn (Baldwin) Keller and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Gale’s career took him and his family to Sioux City, Iowa; Edmond, Oklahoma; Perrysburg, Ohio; settling in Greeley, Colorado for the past 24 years. Over the years Gale had a variety of interests; playing golf, watching and referring soccer, traveling with friends and family, grilling, all things Purdue, playing pool with his father-in-law and brother-in-law, playing poker with his brothers and the next generation, but most importantly spending time with his family; especially the Grands.

Gale is preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother, Tom.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9 at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. A Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10 at Adamson Life Celebration Home.
