Gary Alan Olinger 77, passed away April 29, 2021, in the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee.
Gary was born Nov. 11, 1943, at Middletown, Ohio, to Robert and Lily Strunk Olinger.
He is survived by sons, Gary (Monica) Olinger Jr. and Joe (Tina) Olinger; sisters, Bobbie Bell, Rebecca (Eugene) Daugherty, Sue Reed and Dorothy King; sister-in-law Nancy Olinger; grandchildren, Ryan (Nichole) Olinger, Curtis Olinger, Britny Olinger, Brandon (Trista) Olinger, Logan Olinger, Race Olinger, Myrandi Olinger, KellyJo Olinger, McKinley Olinger, Keeghan Olinger and Mason Olinger; several great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Darin Olinger; brothers, Worley Olinger, David (Irene) Olinger, Richard (Gloria) Olinger, Kelly (Dorothy) Stanfill and Joe (Margaret) Stanfill; sister Ruth (Chuck) Stanfill Hubbard; and brothers-in-law, Clell Reed and Johnny King.
Gary served his country in the USAF and worked 36 years at RR Donnelley & Sons. He was of the Baptist faith.
There will be a celebration of life 2-6 p.m. June 19 at Christ Lutheran Church, 300 W. South Blvd., Crawfordville.
