Gary “Scott” Pruett, 64, of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at his home.
He was born Jan. 20, 1958, at Crawfordsville, to the late Russell and Creo (French) Pruett.
Scott graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1976. He was proud of his Coal Creek and New Richmond heritage growing up. Throughout his life, he worked in construction and farming. He worked at LSC in the press room or the bindery. Scott was a wheeler and dealer and loved Kentucky. He was a good friend to everyone and would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed being outdoors on the boat, water skiing or camping.
He is survived by his two children, Cary (Carrie Ann) Pruett and Amber (Jason) Johnson; special friend, Shari Stratton; sister Peggy (Mark) Burkett; five grandchildren, Jessa, Jude, Josie, Kam and Baker; and one grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William “Bill” Pruett.
There will be a visitation at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Monday, May 23 from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow the service. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care is entrusted with care.
