The 2020 3/139FA Gunners Reunion that was scheduled for Aug. 29 at the Darlington (Armory) Community Center, has been canceled It had been moved from May to August in hopes of a lessening in COVID-19 concerns. That has not happened.
“After taking into consideration the recent increase in state numbers and talking with several potential attendees, it was decided that it was not worth the risk, especially since many of those who attend are in the high risk age group,” commented SFC (Ret) S David Long, reunion coordinator. “We’ve all seen examples on TV of what can happen as the result of just attending a party, family reunion or even a simple church supper. It only takes one person. There will always be 2021”.
