Ron Hess shared a slide show of Haiti with Crawfordsville Rotarians on Wednesday. Hess made his first of many trips to Haiti in 1996 and continues to be involved with projects there. Rotary has been heavily involved with many projects, including digging wells for fresh water, installing solar energy panels for electricity, building a mill and repairing 30 homes after the tornado. A store is currently being built with plans for a bakery in the future. Wine to Water is the major fundraiser for Haiti projects. Half of the funds go to sponsor grants for Haiti and the other half goes to local projects. Watch for the 2023 Wine to Water gala in July 2023.
