Employee-owners of Hoosier Heartland State Bank recently gathered at Veterans Memorial Park to present their most recent donation of $16,000. The contribution funded the two granite monuments that flank the 10-foot-tall bronze sculpture of a soldier at the front of the park bordering Washington Street. VMP is organized as a not-for-profit corporation. Its mission is “Honoring All Veterans.” Various parts of the park and its operation are available for sponsorship and underwriting, including purchasing bricks that will surround the center monument.
