Mounties sweep Falcons

The Southmont boys' and girls' swimming and diving teams swept North Vermillion on Thursday night.

The girls won 140-19, while the boys won 109-34.

The foursome of Emma Phillips, Alexis White, Elle Gray, and Adriana Smith teamed up to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:29.89, while Gray, Emily Smith, Adriana Smith, and Sydney Pribble won the 200 freestyle in 2:13.84, and Jordan Stanley, Pribble, White, and Faith Allen won the 400 freestyle relay in 5:03.62.

Individual winners included Pribble in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:36.62, Gray in the 200 individual medley in 3:02.16, and Phillips in the 50 freestyle in 30.1 seconds. Pribble also won the 100 butterfly in 1:24.38, and Emily Smith won the 100 freestyle in 1:13.34. White won the 500 freestyle with a time of 7:01.64, while Allen won the 100 backstroke in 1:16.83, and Adriana Smith won the 100 breaststroke in 1:27.9.

The boys foursome of Trent Jones, John Zimmerman, Gavin Waddell, and Ty Elless won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:20.6, while Jones, Zimmerman, Karter Blankeship, and Logan Harman teamed up for a win in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:47.37, and Harman, Blankeship, Waddell, and John Servies won the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 4:22.89.

Individual winners included Harman in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:21.98, while Blankeship won the 200 individual medley in 2:41.47, and Jones won the 50 freestyle in 25.75 seconds. Zimmerman won the 100 butterfly in 1:11.48, and Servies won the 100 freestyle in 1:03.33. Harman also won the 500 freestyle in 6:46.21, and Jones won the 100 backstroke in 1:11.26, while Zimmerman won the 100 breaststroke in 1:23.36.

Chargers swept by Patriots

The North Montgomery swimming and diving teams were swept in a dual meet with Seeger on Thursday night.

The boys' fell 77-64, while the girls' lost 97-86.

The foursome of Madelynn Mershon, Gracen Schwabe, Maggie Michael, and Kelsey Anderson won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:17.47, while Michael, Schwabe, Sydnee Turner, and Sidney Campbell teamed up for a win in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:58.53, and Mershon, Rachel Fedor, Anderson and Campbell won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:22.92.

Individual winners included Campbell in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:13.35, while Michael won the 50 freestyle in 27.47 seconds, and Jessica Dittmer won the 100 butterfly in 1:18.86. Anderson won the 100 backstroke in 1:13.58.

The boys team of Caleb Cochran, Stevie Gunderman, Kaden Ervin, and Matthew Southwood won the 200 medley with a time of 2:11.83.

Ervin won the 200 individual medley in 2:34.98, and Gunderman won the diving portion with a mark of 152.3.

Girls Basketball

Fountain Central's girls' basketball team picked up a win over Riverton Parke on Thursday night 61-48.

Dakota Borman had a double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds, while Jerzi Hershberger added 13 points, and Gracie Foxworthy chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds.
