Athenians fall
to Trojans
The Crawfordsville volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 26-24) match to Covington in its regular season finale on Thursday.
Abby Bannon had seven kills and three digs, while Macy Bruton had 12 kills and eight digs, and Olivia Reed had 20 digs to lead the Athenians.
Crawfordsville closes the regular season with a 14-13 record, and will await the West Lafayette/Frankfort winner in the sectional semi-final at 11 a.m. next Saturday at Frankfort.
Mounties named to academic
all-state
The Southmont boys’ tennis team was named to the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association academic all-state team for the fall season.
South falls to Panthers
The Southmont volleyball team was swept by Riverton Parke 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-21) on Thursday night.
