HIGH SCHOOL SCOREBOARD: Chargers win on pitch, area volleyball teams fall

The North Montgomery girl's soccer team picked up a 5-0 win at International to close out the regular season on Friday. Led by Sidney Campbell, who had two goals, and broke her own record for most points scored in a season in school history.

Lydia Dugard, Courtney Engels, and Maggie Michael each added goals, while Teegan Bacon, Nina Gable, Engels, Michael, and Caitlin Burns had assists.

All three county volleyball teams fall

The Crawfordsville volleyball team dropped a road Sagamore Conference match 3-1 (25-11, 16-25, 25-18, 25-19) to Danville on Thursday.

Macy Bruton led the Athenians with 22 kills, 13 digs, and four aces. Shea Williamson had 17 digs, and 12 assists, while Abby Bannon had nine kills and seven digs, and Laine Schlicher had 14 assists, six digs, and an ace. 

The Southmont volleyball team fell 3-2 (25-21, 25-19, 15-25, 20-25, 15-8) to Parke Heritage.

Lexi Nelson led the Mounties with 20 kills, while Natalie Manion chipped in 18 assists.

North Montgomery was swept by Western Boone 3-0 (25-17, 25-6, 25-9), while Fountain Central fell to North Vermillion on Thursday 3-2 (25-9, 25-16, 17-25, 19-25, 15-9).

Athenians and Chargers fall on pitch

The Crawfordsville boy's soccer team fell at Danville 8-0 on Thursday. 

The North Montgomery boy's soccer team fell to Delphi 2-1. Baydin Hall scored the lone goal for the Chargers.
