Chargers fall to Bruins

The North Montgomery girl’s soccer team suffered a 7-2 loss to Tri-West.

Sidney Campbell and Haley Sommer scored the Charger’s goals, while Nina Gable and Teegan Bacon chipped in assists. Sydnee Turner had 11 saves in goal.

“I was very proud of the effort tonight. Tri-West is a very tactical team. I was happy with how our offense was able to get involved and put some goals away,” Charger’s coach Julie Hodges said. We just missed on a couple chances. Tri-West is a team that will capitalize on mistakes. With the amount of possession they can control, we missed a couple clears that we should have cleaned up. This made the score not indicative of how we played tonight. This will be good experience leading into the sectional.”

In boy’s action, Tri-West defeated North Montgomery 9-0.
