North Montgomery dropped a 2-0 match to Benton Central in boy’s soccer on Tuesday, while Southmont fell to Greencastle 5-1.

South sweeps frankfort
The Southmont boy’s tennis team swept Sagamore Conference foe Frankfort 5-0 on Tuesday.
Adam Cox beat Noah Widler 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Trevor McKinney beat Jim Ostler 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, and Conner McVay beat Riley Grasham 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 3 spot.
The duo of Reese Long and Micah Korhorn beat Chase Thomas and Jesus’ Garcia 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, while Luke Tesmer and EJ Brewer beat Elijah West and Carter Wilson 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Chargers fall to Trojans
The North Montgomery boy’s tennis team dropped a match 4-1 to Covington on Tuesday.
Brookes Walters picked up a 6-4, 3-1 (Forfeit) over Peyt Shumaker at No. 3 singles for the Chargers.
At No. 1 singles, Jakob Kirsch fell 6-0, 6-1 to Calvin Springer, while Hunter Kashon was defeated by Evan Norton 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
The duo of Will McKinniss and Carter Livingston lost to Eli Btley and Nolan Potter 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, and Ben Eldridge and Hayden Turner fell to Nick Turner and Jackson Kindell 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Chargers, Mounties pick up golf wins
The North Montgomery girls golf team picked up a trio of wins on Tuesday at Harrison Hills. The Chargers fired a 232, defeating Attica (239), Clinton Prairie (246), and Fountain Central (262).
Chloe Maxwell led the Chargers with a 50, while Grace Shrader fired a 57, and Abbie Horn a 59. Morgan Swick shot a 61, and Grace Littell a 62. Ella Stultz fired a 66, and Maggie Yeager a 70. Foxworthy led the Mustangs with a 62, while Walls fired a 64, and Parks a 67. Hicks shot a 69, and Keeling a 72.
Southmont defeated North Putnam 179-225. Logan Berrisford led the Mounties and was the medalist with a 43.
Carson White and Lexi Rusk both fired 45’s, while Bailey Thompson had a 46, and Erin Williams a 48.
Athenians fall to Tigers
The Crawfordsville girl’s golf team dropped a 185-213 match to Lebanon at the Crawfordsville Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday.
Bailey Mittal and Evie Redding led the Mounties with 49’s, while Georgia Kincaid fired a 56. Gwen Redding shot a 59, Sadie Walker a 67, and McKenzie Wilson a 69.

The Crawfordsville girl’s soccer team dropped a 7-0 contest to Sagamore Conference foe Danville on Tuesday.
Athenian netters rebound with win
The Crawfordsville volleyball team bounced back with a sweep of North Vermillion (25-21, 25-15, 25-11) on Tuesday.
Laine Schlicher led the Athenians with nine assists, and five aces, while Macy Bruton added 13 kills and seven aces. Shea Williamson chipped in eight assists, two kills, and two aces.
Mounties drop SAC match
The Southmont volleyball team fell to Tri-West 3-2 (25-17, 25-20, 24-26, 18-25, 16-14) on Tuesday.
