Mounties set another record

Led by senior Logan Berrisford’s school-record score of 36 (Even Par), the Southmont girl’s golf team set a school record with a score of 166 at Ravines Golf Course on Thursday by defeating McCutcheon (188), and North Montgomery (221).

Berrisford was the medalist with a 36, while Bailey Thompson fired a 40, and Erin Williams and Carson White fired 45s. Lexi Rusk shot a 48, and Macie Shirk a 49.

Athenians drop SAC match

The Crawfordsville boy’s soccer team dropped a 3-1 Sagamore Conference match to Lebanon on Thursday. After the teams played even at 0-0 through a half, the Tigers outscored the Athenians 3-1 in the second half.

 

Chargers fall to Bethesda

North Montgomery boys soccer dropped a 4-3 match at Bethesda Christian on Thursday. 

Baydin Hall score a pair of goals, while Thomas Fritzen found the back of the net. Colby Coons and Evan Tanner each had an assist.

Mounties fall to Warriors

Southmont’s girls soccer team lost 3-1 to Sagamore Conference foe Danville on Thursday. Lexie Odum scored the lone Mountie goal, assisted by Jordan Stanley.

Chargers defeat Indians

The North Montgomery girl’s soccer team picked up a 5-2 win over Twin Lakes on Thursday. Sidney Campbell scored a pair of goals, while Lydia Dugard, Nina Gable, and Haley Sommer all found the back of the net. Teegan Bacon, Campbell, and Dugard each had assists. Sydnee Turner had five saves in the goal.

Mustangs beat Knights

The Fountain Central boy’s tennis team beat Central Catholic on Thursday 4-1.

Carson Eberly defeated Patrick Gothard 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Cody Linville beat Sebastian Lux 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Brent Myers was defeated by Dylan Riley 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

The duo of Jacob Keeling and Denton Otero beat Griffin Chyall and Nolan Pickerill 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles, while Sawyer Keeling and CJ Yager beat Michael Fusick and Sam Siemers 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Athenians fall in girls golf

The Crawfordsville girl's golf team traveled to Cicero on Thursday evening to play Bear Slide against Hamilton Heights (201) and Frankfort (226). The Athenians fired a 237.

Evie Redding shot a 53, Bailey Mittal a 55, and Georgia Kincaid a 60. McKenzie Wilson fired a 69, and Sadie Walker a 70.

Mounties and Cougars end in draw

Southmont and North Putnam ended in a 3-3 draw on Thursday in boy's soccer action. The Mounties fell behind 2-0 in the first half, before taking a 3-2 lead early in the second half. The Cougars tied the game with a goal in the final minutes of regulation. 

South beats Cloverdale in volleyball

The Southmont volleyball team remained unbeaten with a 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-20) win over Cloverdale on Thursday.

Lexi Nelson led the Mounties with 32 kills, and six digs. Natalie Manion had 16 digs, an ace and four assists, while Kaley Remley had 16 digs, 10 kills, and three aces. Sidney Veatch had 44 assists, 16 digs, and seven kills.
