Hulah L. Odell passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 12, 2021, at Whitlock Place. She was 91.

Mrs. Odell was a member of the First Christian Church, had previously been a member of Harmony 18 and Sugar Creek Squares. She was active in her church and volunteered at its pre-school for over 20 years. She had served on the board of First Christian Church and had also worked at Quaker Maid in Terre Haute and RR Donnelley in Crawfordsville.

Born Sept. 28, 1930, she was the daughter of Leslie (Ted) Clark and Flossie Butcher Clark. She graduated from Robinson Township High School (Illinois) in 1948. She married Charles H. Odell on Nov. 11, 1951. He passed away Sept. 23, 2016 after nearly 65 years of marriage.

Surviving family includes: son Phillip Odell of Lexington, Kentucky; daughter Sharon Odell-Keedy (Tom) of Crawfordsville; grandchildren, Meredith (Erin) Keedy-Merk, Kaylynn (Charles) Ranspach, Hannah Keedy (Emily Palomaki), William (Raven) Odell and Nicholas Odell; great-grandchildren, Destiny Odell, Sawyer Ranspach, Carlyle Keedy-Merk, Parker Ranspach and Lennon Keedy-Merk; sisters, Mary Tindall of Akron, Iowa and Lola (George) Piersall of Oblong, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by husband Charles; sister Lela Lofland; and daughter-in-law Phyllis Odell.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m., with Paster Darla Goodrich officiating. After the service Hulah will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery North.

The family would like to thank the awesome staff of Whitlock Place for their outstanding work in caring for Hulah these past five years.
