An Indianapolis man was jailed on multiple charges following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning near State Road 32 and Interstate 74.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded at 6:20 a.m. to the crash at East State Road 32 and North C.R. 525E. After speaking with the driver, K9 Officer Titan was used to search the vehicle. He indicated to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle.
Deputies seized three firearms without serial numbers and a half pound of marijuana from the vehicle.
The driver, Christopher Puhr, 35, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, carrying a handgun without a license, dealing in marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
All information will be sent to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
