Ivy Tech Crawfordsville to offer cybersecurity courses

Posted

Thanks to the generosity of community donors, Ivy Tech Community College Crawfordsville plans to upgrade computer equipment so it can offer courses in cybersecurity to high school students as well as the area workforce and employers. The funds will be provided from donations to the Ivy Tech Foundation that were pledged to the Ivy Tech Crawfordsville campus.

Most of the courses will be offered as dual enrollment opportunities to four high schools in the West Central Career and Technical Education service area — Crawfordsville, Southmont, North Montgomery and West Lebanon. The delivery methods will be a combination of virtual and in person at the Ivy Tech Crawfordsville site.

The course credits can be applied to certificates, technical certificates and associate degrees in cybersecurity. Course topics include introduction to cybersecurity, advanced digital forensics, Linux and virtualization technologies, network protocol analysis, enterprise computing and other courses.
