James “Jim” K. Rector passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Roper Hospital in West Ashley, South Carolina. He was 77 years old. Because of the backlog of recent deaths we are unsure when a celebration of life service will be.
Jim was a member of Crosspoint Fellowship Church. He was the son of H.K. and Betty Rector. He married Carol Brown in December 1972. She survives.
Also surviving are his sons, Chad (Lisa) Rector, Josh (Melissa) Rector and Jay (Shannon) Rector; daughters, the late Tammy Rector and Terri Rector Michael; brothers, Steve (Gail) Rector and Randy Rector; sister Candace (Paul) Fegley; and grandchildren, Zane Rector, Devon Crane and Kai A. Rector.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim was employed with Raybestos for 16 year; Hi-Tek Lighting for eight years; and retired from Crawford Industries (Atapco) in 2006.
Jim loved to fish, loved people and loved spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful husband and father.
He was an ex-Navy man and served in Vietnam.
