Jeffrey Lynn Crowder, 61, of Covington died at 11:56 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, at home, having been seriously ill six weeks.
He was born June 6, 1959, at Crawfordsville, the son of Donald Ray Crowder and Betty Joanne (nee McGinnis) Crowder
Jeff moved to Covington from Kingman in 1976 and graduated from Covington High School in 1977. He played the drums for Black Rose Reception for 15 years and was a member of the SOS Motorcycle Club.
Surviving are three children, Cassy Richardson and husband Craig of Spring, Texas, Lindsey Crowder of Greenwood and Chandler Petrus of Chicago; father Donald Crowder of Kingman; sister Jill Gee and husband Joe of Covington; girlfriend, Missy Gebhart of Covington; and two grandchildren, Cate Richardson and Colt Richardson.
His mother preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (EDT) Friday, Dec. 18 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Due to COVID-19 and state requirements everyone shall wear a mask and social distancing will be observed. The number of people entering will be limited.
Private family services at 3 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home, with Pastor Steven Crum officiating. Burial will follow in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
