It is with great sadness that the family of John Malcolm Smith II of Crawfordsville announces his passing on April 17, 2021, at Lafayette, at the age of 50 years.
He was born Sept. 4, 1970, at Danville, Illinois.
John’s mission in life was to spread happiness, be cheerful, and make others laugh too. His quick humor, big laugh and upbeat attitude will never be forgotten. It was always comforting to get one of his warm hugs. He had an unmatched work ethic and used that to overcome many obstacles his body and heart placed before him. He enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and spending time with family.
John will be lovingly remembered by daughter Sierra Danielle Smith; son Hayden Storm Jackson Smith; sisters, Sam Smith and April Labbe; brother Brad Smith; and his many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, John Malcolm Smith I and his mother, Sherry Lea Smith.
John would like nothing more than to sit back with some of his sweet tea and tell one of his many stories. We will spread his ashes in his favorite spots so he can spend eternity doing what he enjoyed most.
Cremation was chosen.
