John P. Blair, 60, passed away on Oct. 10, 2024, in Terre Haute.

John was born Nov. 3, 1963, to Donald and Betty Blair, in Crawfordsville.

He recently resided in Terre Haute. John graduated from Crawfordsville High School, and acquired a bachelor’s degree at Indiana State University, majoring in vocal performance and minoring in theatre arts.

He was very active in the Crawfordsville Vanity Theater, directing many musicals and plays. He owned Blair Flair Music and gave piano, voice and acting lessons for many students in Crawfordsville and Terre Haute. John provided musical accompaniment for churches throughout his long career.

Those who knew John all wondered at his love and enthusiasm for life and his musical artistry. At the time of his death, he was musical director at First Congregational Church of Terre Haute.

John is preceded in death by both of his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by sister Kimberly (Joe) Beaumont of Michigan; niece Amanda (Peter) Rakowski; and great-nephew Ethan and great-niece Ava, all of Virginia.

John’s celebration of life will be held on at 1 p.m. Nov. 9 at First Congregational Church, 630 Ohio St., Terre Haute.

In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to either The Catmosphere Cat Café, an adoption café (thecatmosphere.com) or to First Congregational Church, Terre Haute. Internment will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
