John Wayne Spangler passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, Texas.
Born Oct. 1, 1944, at Crawfordsville, to Wayne and Lillian Spangler, he attended New Ross High School and worked as a farmer and then later in life at Nucor Steel. He retired to Texas to be close to family. John loved the simple pleasures like having coffee with family and friends, watching sports on TV and the comfort of four-legged friends. Rest in peace, we love you.
He is survived by family in Texas including: daughters, Sheri Spangler and her husband Bob Miller and Staci Spangler-Swift and husband Michael Swift; son Kerbey Spangler; three grandchildren, Caleb, Madeline and Caroline; and great-grandchild Brooklyn.
