Judith (Crane) Porter Kreighbaum, 89, of Waveland passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Ben Hur Health and Rehab in Crawfordsville.
Judith was born March 22, 1935, in Crawfordsville, to the late Thomas Crane and Freda (Kinkead) Crane.
Judith married Herbert Porter of Waveland on May 25, 1957. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1983. They had four children, Jill (Larry) Spencer, Jeff (Connie) Porter, Susan (Mike) Stout and Sarah (Stewart) Hutchens.
Judith then married Harry Kreighbaum on Nov. 5, 1988. He had five children, Karen Kreighbaum, Dianne Westfield, Julie Estep, Connie Rector, and Jim Kreighbaum who had preceded him in death.
She was the oldest of nine. Her surviving siblings are Sally Hayes, Fred (Norma) Crane and Peggy Cornett.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Susan Hayes, Jack Crane, Kay Fisher, Marilyn Cook and David Crane.
Between them there are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren whom they dearly loved.
She loved sewing, crocheting, and working on family history. In her later years she and Harry loved to travel. They drove their RV all over the country.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Browns Valley Christian Church, 9011 State Road 47, Crawfordsville, with Pastor Rodney Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery near Waveland. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday also at the church. Machledt & Servies Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Waveland, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
