Judith Kaye Stringfield, 73, passed away peacefully at Franciscan Health Lafayette on Feb. 10, 2025.
She was born April 29, 1951, in Waynesburg, Kentucky, to Charles and Lena Oaks Blanton.
Judy went on to marry Gerald Stringfield and lived most of her life in Crawfordsville.
She was most proud of her three children, Trina (Robert) Ford, Jerry (Rachel) Stringfield and Nathan Stringfield. She was a wonderful woman who loved her family dearly. She was a great friend. She loved to sing and play the mandolin and guitar with her family.
She is survived by her husband; her children; her grandchildren, Alan (Hannah) Griggs, Courtney Griggs, Sadie Stringfield, Cole (Emily) Stringfield, Samantha Pike and Jayden Stringfield; eight great-grandchildren; her brothers, Leroy Blanton and Charles William Blanton Jr.; her sisters, Brenda (Robert) Edwards, Gayle (Randy) Adams and Rosy (Gary); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, James Henry, Diana Faye and Barbara Helen; niece Sherri Farfan; great-niece Lacey Blanton; and sister-in-law Rita Blanton.
She started her own upholstery business and was successful for many years. She liked helping people and worked at the Durham Home and Lane House briefly. She worked at Random House for 10 years before retiring.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Service will begin at 4 p.m.
