Karen (Blair) Jensen of Covington died Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East after a long illness.
Born Oct. 22, 1950, at Streator, Illinois, Karen graduated from Odell Community High School in 1968 and married her love, Charles Jensen, in 1973.
She is loved and survived by her husband Charlie; daughter Rebecca Jensen, Darlington; son Stephen Jensen, Centerville, Ohio; and her beloved grandchildren, Dana Sanders, Jaden Pierce, Brady Jensen and Connor Jensen.
Karen also leaves behind cherished siblings, Lori (Bill) Green and Gregg (Donna) Blair, and loved nieces and nephews. She treasured her many friends who became like family.
Karen loved her church community at Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards, crocheting and socializing with family and friends. Karen treasured her time with grandchildren and family, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made in Karen’s honor to the Children’s Camp Program at Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene, 453 S. State Road 341, Hillsboro, IN 47949; or to CFL Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc., at 315 N. Crystal Falls, Hillsboro, IN 47949.
At Karen’s request, her body will be entrusted to Sanders Funeral Care for cremation. A visitation will be at Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. until the time of the celebration of life service honoring Karen’s life at 1 p.m.
