Karen Rae Holman, 81, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully Monday, April 21, 2025, at her home.
Karen was born Oct. 13, 1943, in Greencastle, to Herbert Leon and Marjorie Lea (Fritts) Whiker. She graduated from Roachdale High School. Karen married Marvin R. Holman on Oct. 24, 1998.
She had worked as a secretary at RR Donnelly in Angola, Indiana from October 1960 to June 1966. She retired from Purdue University, where she worked in collections, on Oct. 31, 2003.
Surviving are her husband, Marvin R. Holman of Angola; daughter Tammy (Don Moran) Myers of Rayville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Josalyn Thompson, Jason (Jennifer) Thompson and Jordan Thompson; and great-grandson Waylon Henry-James Thompson.
She was preceded by parents and her brother, Don Harney, on Dec. 5, 2024.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 25 at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, with Michael L. Hesterman officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola.
