Karmon Demoret Barger of Oxford passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 17, 2024, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, having turned 47 on Saturday.
Born Dec. 14, 1977, at Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Steve Demoret and Pam Walters Zachary. She graduated from North Montgomery in 1996 and attended Ivy Tech. She married Justis Barger. He survives. Karmon loved to laugh, dance and sing, but most of all she loved her children.
Surviving family includes: husband Justis Barger; five children, Abby Barger, Case Barger, Zeke Barger, Annie Barger and Rachel Barger; mother Pam Zachary; sister Kelsey Case (Brad); step-brothers, Ron Zachary Jr. (Tisha) and Mark Zachary (Alicia); step-sisters, Chrystina Zachary and Buffie Voorhees (Matt).
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alicia “Allie” Barger; her father, Steve Demoret; step-father Ron Zachary; and grandma Mary Walters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Services will begin at 1 p.m. After the service, she will be laid to rest at the Concord Cemetery in Tippecanoe County.
