Kim Keeling is celebrating an incredible career milestone, marking 35 years of dedication, hard work and service.
Keeling began her career in 1989 as a material handler in the mechanical bindery, quickly showcasing her talents and passion for excellence. In 1992, she accepted a position as administrative support in the College Trade Module and was promoted to executive administrative assistant just a year later. Her journey in human resources began in 1994 as the benefits administrator, where she gained extensive experience working in all HR areas.
In 2008, Keeling was promoted to human resource manager, a role that allowed her to work across multiple locations, including Greeley, Colorado; Seymour; Plainfield; and Terre Haute. She currently serves as the senior human resource manager at the Crawfordsville facility, where her expertise and leadership have made a lasting impact.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, she and her husband, Steve, have been married for 41 years. They are proud parents to Stefany (Cody) Newlin of Veedersburg and Alex Keeling (Ellie Parra) of Hillsboro. Their family is blessed with grandchildren, Lilly, Logan, Lacy, Lauryn and Layton Newlin, Carrson, Collin and Adley Keeling, Zayde Seward and Milo Parra.
Keeling enjoys spending time with her loved ones, hosting family gatherings, and attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events.
She is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management and has been deeply involved in workforce development. She is a proud alum of the Montgomery County Leadership Academy and previously served on the board of directors for the Family Crisis Shelter. Currently, she serves as secretary on the board of directors at the Crawfordsville Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, where she contributes through the governance committee. At Lakeside Book Company, Keeling is actively engaged with the safety team, inclusion council, wellness committee and Lakeside Employee Club.
Her dedication to her career, community, and family serves as an inspiration to all who know her. As she celebrates this remarkable career milestone, we thank her for her unwavering commitment and wish her continued success in all her endeavors.
