American Legion Bryon Cox Post 72 won its first game of the season by defeating South Haven 7-5 on Saturday in Portage.
Jude Coursey picked up the win by pitching five innings. Coursey gave up nine hits, five runs and recorded five strikeouts.
Aiden Ambriz-Cruz recorded his first save of the season by pitching two innings and surrendered just one hit.
Coursey was 2-for-4 at the plate and scored one run.
Cale Chadd had two hits and two RBI.
Post 72 (1-1) entertains Terre Haute at 7 p.m. today at North Montgomery High School.
