I’ll open by saying, I don’t know Jake Bohlander well. However, I am familiar with his goals for Montgomery County and I like Bohlander and what he stands for. I have spoken with many business leaders and citizens around the county about his experience and qualifications; I’ve read through the content on his website, news publications, and social Bohlander Jake is exactly what we need to represent the people as an at large member of the Montgomery County Council.
It’s apparent to me that Bohlander is invested in the community. I’m impressed with his business and agricultural background. His business is here. His family is here. He is knowledgeable about what is happening in our community and he is supportive of improvements and responsible growth. I found his goals, once elected, particularly interesting and relevant. He promises the following on his website and in mailers:
“If elected, Bohlander would collaborate with fellow council members, the city of Crawfordsville, and commissioners to promote investment in the community; serving as a checks and balances for county funds to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent in appropriate areas; support the county’s comprehensive plan and encourage controlled growth; and keep the next generation in the community.”
Like many others, I see his youth as a very positive attribute. He, along with his generation, is the face of Montgomery County’s future. There is a lot to be said for fresh eyes and energy. Experience is certainly important too and he has valuable business experience and he is well on his way to doing so much good for our community. I truly believe our county is at a crossroads; we need responsible growth and growth can only happen when people get involved in the process. By throwing his hat in the ring, Jake is committing to take our county to the next level.
I’ll be supporting his efforts and I hope all of you will cast a vote for Bohlander as well.
