In the year 2022 in this country alone, there were 57.3 million senior citizens. That is one in every six Americans and 17% of the population. The foundation of a family begins with parents whose whole purpose is to instill in their children the values of respect, honesty and accountability.
Grandparents early on become a loyal source of support and nurture for their beloved grandchildren. However, in many circumstances in today’s society, elder abuse runs rapid. They are preyed upon, ripped of their dignity and finances, and many who suffer from a mental condition (such as dementia) are mocked, pushed around, and taken advantage of because they can’t defend themselves. It is disgraceful.
It is paramount that you and your siblings are aware of who marries into your family structure. The bloodlines of your parents and grandparents must be protected at all times. Malicious individuals and their greed will do anything for money. Your parents made tireless sacrifices for you to have a fulfilling and good life. It will one day be your time to stand up for fair principles ... and never let them be forgotten.
