In response to the Democrat whose letter appeared in Monday’s Journal Review with his plea to remove “this despicable person” from the White House. Where is the Democrat party? I’m continually hearing they are the party of diversity, change, equality ... whatever. You had a greatly diverse group of candidates — women, Hispanics, gay, African-American — all the boxes were checked. Yet, your greatly diverse, ready for change and equality party came up with Joe Biden. Another rich, white, lifelong politician with an interesting family connections to other countries that are not our friends. How did that happen?
At the last presidential election, I voted with my nose held shut, the two candidates made me almost sick. How is it any better this time? This is the best that America and your party can come up with?
The letter writer also mentions that President Trump has “utterly failed” our country. You can argue that all day long, but the statistics show that record employment among all groups, until COVID-19 and state governments shut down our economies, hasn’t done harm to our country. I’m not backing all his decisions, no President is worth that. I’m just tired of the “orange man bad” rhetoric, when the other party has failed in its own mission to provide us with a decent alternative.
