A special thank you to Michele Borden of the Daughters of the American Revolution for getting the ball rolling for me to investigate the many uncles of the Beach family.
Those brothers were involved in wars from 1936, 1941, 1942, 1944 and 1945: regular Army, European, African, Middle East and Pearl Harbor.
We owe a debt of thanks to the Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power Company for using Nov. 1 to lower the banners of our special veterans who have graced the streets of Crawfordsville through 2023. Those same gentlemen have now raised banners to recognize our veterans who will look down on us along Washington Street in 2024.
My thanks comes from families in Alaska, California, Linnsburg, Indiana, Texas and Wisconsin.
Look up and be proud of those ladies and gentlement veterans who are our relatives and loved ones.
