The General Lew Wallace Study & Museum is hosting more than 30 regional authors for their 8th annual Lew Wallace Hoosier Author Fair during Downtown Party Night.

The public is invited to meet Hoosier authors and celebrate Small Business Saturday from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 30 at Fusion 54, 101 W. Main St.

“Again this year we will offer poetry on demand,” event organizer Stephanie Cain said. “We’ll have at least two poets creating works on the spot for a small fee.”

Throughout the event authors will have books for sale and will sign copies and chat with readers.

Special this year will be the launching by Kelly O’Dell Stanley of her memoir, “The Artist, Ladoga, Indiana” at this event. Stanley’s memoir highlights her relationship with her father, well-known local artist, Rob O’Dell, who passed away in 2017.

Authors are a mix of returning guests and first-time attendees. Poets include: Josh Brewer, Gwynn Wills and Tony Brewer. For various children’s books, Ava Cuvay, Jason Hendrickson, Katie Andrews Potter, Krystina K. Leganza, Mark Putnam and Taylor Bridgeforth, will be attending. Religious fiction will be represented by David J. Marsh, Elizabeth Woodrow and James E. Graham.

Historical fiction is well represented by authors Ariella Talix and Larry D. Sweazy. Laura VanArendonk Baugh, David Brown and Stephanie A. Cain will sell fantasy novels with Agata Isabela Brewer and Sarah Styf writing memoirs.

Eric Freeze writes on topics travel and politics. Authors with Indiana-specific books include Ray Boomhower and Shannon Hudson with Vicke Hudson Swisher. Some of the other authors include James Pauley Jr. (LGBTQ+, Humor), Jamie Ward (travel), Jensen Parker (romance), Kitzie Pallas (biography), Stephen Terrell (true crime history), M.K. Scott (mystery) and Sutton Bishop (women’s fiction, adventure).

Each author is individually responsible for taking payments, so readers should make sure to bring cash as well as credit cards. This event is made possible with support from Crawfordsville Main Street, Downtown Party Night and Visit Montgomery County.

The Hoosier Author Fair is open to the public.
