Linda Lou (Denham) Davis died at 11:40 a.m. Aug. 3, 2022, in the hospital at Panama City, Florida, with family by her side.

Linda Lou was born June 6, 1941, in Indiana, to Blueford “Blue” Green and Chloeteel (Davis) Denham. After paying “Blue” $1 for Linda Lou’s hand in marriage, Gary Verner Edwin Davis and Linda Lou were married June 4, 1961, at the Alamo Christian Church. Attendants were Linda Lou’s Alamo classmates, Martha (Luzader) Swick and Linda (Luzader) Meek. Gary’s attendants were Linda Lou’s uncle, Wallace Davis, and her brothers, Mike and Frankie Clay Denham.

Linda Lou was a 1961 graduate of Alamo High School.

Gary and Linda Lou made their home on C.R. 600S off State Road 32W, where they welcomed Pepper Lynn (Mike) Anderson and Dee Verner into their lives. Later in life, Gary and Linda Lou joined up with Linda Lou’s brother Mike and his family and moved to Opp, Alabama, where they each built log cabin homes. Linda Lou retired from Walmart as the department head of their automotive section.

Linda Lou loved her dogs, crochet, sewing and touring on her motorcycle with family and friends.

Linda Lou was preceded in death by husband Gary; parents; Denham and Davis grandparents, sister Sandra and sister Joyce and brother-in-law; and brothers, Mike and Frank.

Linda Lou is survived by sisters-in-law, Roberta (Fitzsimmons) Denham and Patricia (Farabee) Denham; grandchild Tawny (Jonathan) Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Luke Rylan, Easton Drake and Austin Cade Wyatt; Denham nieces, Stacy Maxine, Jennifer Lynn, Susan Ann and nephew Robert “Bobbie” Blue (Nia) Denham.

Many Denham and Davis cousins, as well as Indiana friends and acquaintances, keep her in their hearts.

Cremation was chosen with no services.
