Lisa Linton, 58, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 29, 2021, at home in Fishers.

She was born Oct. 10, 1962, in Hamilton County, a daughter of the late Fred G. and Helen Lee (Byroad) Chaney.

She graduated from Western Boone High School in 1981. Following high school she attended Ivy Tech. She married Thomas Brown. He preceded her in death. 

During her time living in Florida, she was employed at Wal-Mart in the optical lab and the warehouse. She was also a bus driver for North Montgomery School System for many years. 

She was kind, soft-spoken, blessed to have a large family and loved celebrating holidays and family functions together. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. In her free time, Lisa enjoyed collecting antiques, vegetable gardening, sewing and was passionate about saving rescue dogs.

Survivors include: her children, Anthony K. McClain of Tipton, Katrina (Don) Funnell of South Bend and Bridgett (Tom) LeBlanc of Fishers; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Brenda Wright of Lebanon, Jerri (David) Sills of Crawfordsville, Sandy (Duane) Chaney of Crawfordsville and Kimberly Matney of Crawfordsville; brother Kevin (Melissa) Chaney of Crawfordsville; along with several nieces and nephews.                     

Funeral services are to be held at noon Tuesday, May 4 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.

Memorials may be given in her memory to the Montgomery County Humane Society.
